Use of bee pollen in the prevention and treatment of many diseases

Bee pollen is a valuable bee product with high nutritional value and health benefits. Bee pollen can be used in the prevention and treatment of many diseases. It acts preventively in cardiovascular diseases and cancer and also slows the aging process. It is used in the treatment of thermal burns and has a protective effect against ionizing radiation and supports the treatment of cancer. It is used in therapy: hypertension, dyslipidemia, prostate diseases, osteoporosis, anemia, depression. Bee pollen also has an immunomodulating effect, as well as anti-allergic. The aim of the study was to estimate the properties of bee pollen and the characteristics of action for possible applications in pharmacy and medicine.
