Przegląd badań nad zastosowaniem wyciągów z aloesu w leczeniu cukrzycy

Aloe extracts: a review of their use in the management of diabetes. Oxidative stress is recognized as a major contributing factor for the development of late complications of diabetes. Aloe contains phenols, enzymes and vitamins, which have many important biological properties, including strong antioxidant activity. This paper presents the actual stage of knowledge on anti-diabetic effect of aloe extracts in animal models and human therapy. We can conclude that intake of aloe by diabetic patients may provide some protection against the development of long-term complications of diabetes.
