Therapy of bacterial skin infections. Bacterial infections of the skin and soft tissues can becaused by Gram-positive bacteria (aerobic: Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Corynebacterium minutissimum, Bacillus anthracis, and anaerobic: Propionibacterium acnes, Borrelia spp., Actinomyces israeli, Clostridium perfringens), Gram-negative bacteria (Enterobacteriaceae spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa) and also atypical bacteria. Antibacterial agents currently used in the therapy of presented infections of skin and soft tissues were included in this review.
