Treatment of protosoan parasitic diseases. Progress in parasitology leeds to better understood epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical symptoms and treatment of the patients. Among recently studied human parasitoses are cyclosporiasis, cryptosporidiosis, naegleriasis, acanthamoebosis and alariosis. The role of immunological mechanisms is considered in modern therapeutic approach. Actual treatment of parasitodes compones new medicines and treatment procedures such as plasmapheresis and exchange transfusions.
