Carageenans and alginates use in preparation of hydrodynamically balanced systems. Carageenans and alginates were used in this study for preparation of hydrodynamically balanced systems (HBS). HBS contained two model active substances: poorly soluble ketoprofen and soluble in acidic media L-dopa. The influence of polymer type, solubility of active substance on the properties of HBS was demonstrated. The study was carried in two main directions: analysis of the dissolution kinetics mechanisms using classical models of dissolution and analysis of physicochemical and molecular descriptors assigned for the dissolution mechanisms. The analysis of linear correlation between data obtained in dissolution and hydration/erosion studies was carried out.
