Rola farmaceuty w farmakoterapii dny moczanowej

Napad dny moczanowej objawiający się silnym bólem w obrębie jednego stawu, najczęściej stawu śródstopno-paliczkowego I stanowi często pierwszy objaw rozwijającej się choroby, charakteryzującej się wysokim poziomem kwasu moczowego. Kryształy kwasu moczowego odkładają się w licznych stawach i mogą indukować stan zapalny. Wysokie stężenie kwasu moczowego we krwi (hiperurykemia) może wynikać z nadmiernej jego produkcji lub osłabionego wydalania. Leki, dieta mają wpływ zarówno korzystny, jak i niekorzystny na poziom kwasu moczowego we krwi. Artykuł zawiera informacje o leczeniu dny moczanowej oraz czynnikach, które ją wywołują, a także przedstawia rolę farmaceuty podczas leczenia tej choroby.

The role of the pharmacist in the pharmacotherapy of gout

Gout manifested by severe pain in a single joint, most often refers to first metatarsophalangeal joint (MTP) and is often the first symptom of developing the disease, characterized by high levels of uric acid. Uric acid crystals are deposited in a number of joints and may induce inflammation. High levels of uric acid in the blood (hyperuricemia) can result from excessive production of its or reduced excretion. Medication, diet affect both beneficial and disadvantageous to the level of uric acid in the blood. The article contains information about the treatment of gout and the factors that cause it, and also shows the role of the pharmacist in the treatment of this disease.
