Atopic dermatitis - not just a pharmaceutical problem

Atopic dermatitis is a chronic inflammatory disease that is considered to be one of the most common allergic diseases. It primarily concerns children, and its pathomechanism is not fully known. It is estimated that atopic dermatitis affects about 12% of the European population. The correct diagnosis and physical examination are the basis for diagnosis. So far, there is no clear-cut method of treating and careing the skin, and atopic dermatitis remains a problem. Therefore, the aim of the work is to present and characterize atopic dermatitis, with particular regard to pathomechanism, treatment and skin care, which seems to be extremely important in the work of the pharmacist and not only.
