Innovative solutions in technology of ophthalmic dosage forms

In the field of topically-applied ocular dosage formes, two basic directions are proposed to achieve prolonged drug release and eliminate preservatives from the composition. One of the proposed solutions is the use of contact lenses, as a drug carriers. Appropriately planned technological process and selection of polymers enable introduction of drug substance into the therapeutic contact lenses in form of nanocarriers, films and implants.
